BLOGGER #3:
expert trader

WHO SHE IS:
Grace Cheng, 26, full-time forex trader

GRACE’S BLOGGING TIPS
• Be yourself. The blog allows others a glimpse of your personality.
• Discuss what you are interested in. That way, you can display your knowledge and attract like-minded friends.
• Have fun while you’re at it.

She’s only 26, but Grace may be one of the most read authors in the forex world, with worldwide fans. She has also inspired many aspiring traders, who signed up for the PowerFX course on her website at www.gracecheng.com. Designed by Grace, the course offers trading insights, strategies and tips. Set up in August this year with help from her husband,

Grace enjoys blogging as it helps her organise her thoughts about the market. And she hopes that chronicling her experiences will help other traders understand how they can take better advantage of opportunities. “As a full-time forex trader, I get asked many questions from people who want to know more about this field,” says Grace. “I thought a forex trading blog and website would be useful so people can read my views of the market from the perspective of a trader, instead of an analyst’s. It would also allow me to share my passion for profiting from the currency market. I want to show others that it is possible to achieve consistent success as long as you are determined to succeed.”

Grace tries to update her blog twice a day – every posting requires in-depth analysis of the currency market, so she takes about 30 minutes or more for each.

“As a forex trader, I have to do market analysis before trading, and blogging allows me to put my thoughts onto paper. It serves as a written record of my views and I can refer to the notes while trading too.”

Having a blog, says Grace, “opens up a window to the world, where others can get to know about you, your skills and what you are doing.” All this has resulted in more opportunities – she has been commissioned by a UK publishing firm to write a book about forex trading.

Grace has also been contacted by several hedge funds (private investment funds), which means she’s probably on the right track as one of her goals is to manage a hedge fund to trade for others. SH
